For those living in China, the Xiaomi is probably on equal footing with the Huawei P40 Pro. Xiaomi ist für seine Redmi- und Mi-Reihe von Smartphones ziemlich bekannt. Redmi-Geräte sind meist günstig, während Mi-Geräte hochwertige Smartphones und Flaggschiffe sind. Das neueste Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro bietet fast alles, was man in einem modernen Flaggschiff haben möchte. Das Gerät ähnelt äußerlich einem kürzlich vorgestelltem Gerät, dem Xiaomi Mi Note 10. Der Bildschirm ist gebogen, allerdings nicht so sehr wie bei vielen anderen High-End-Smartphones. Alle Bereiche sind mit einer Hand gut erreichbar, obwohl die Größe nicht gerade einem kompakten Smartphone entspricht. Beim Display handelt es sich um ein 6,67-Zoll-AMOLED-Display mit einer Auflösung von 1080 x 2340 Pixel und einer 90-Hz-Bildrate. Der Bildschirm sieht tatsächlich sehr gut aus, besonders dank des Kontrastwertes und der Farbgenauigkeit.

Für gute Leistung wurde Qualcomms Snapdragon 865 in das Xioami Mi 10 Pro eingebaut, einer der erstklassigsten Prozessoren für Android-Geräte, der zur Zeit des Smartphones’ Erscheinens verfügbar war. Die Multi-Core-Leistung des Snapdragon 865 ist auf Standardniveau ungefähr 30 Prozent höher als die des 855-Chipsatzes im Samsung Galaxy S10+. Es kommt sogar den Multi-Core-Benchmark-Ergebnissen des Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra nahe. Insgesamt dürfte die Leistung auf dem Niveau des S20 Ultra sein, was anspruchsvolle Aufgaben wie Gaming oder Videobearbeitung betrifft.

Das Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro stellt 8 GB oder 12 GB Arbeitsspeicher und 256 GB oder 512 GB Speicherplatz zur Wahl. Außerdem unterstützt das Gerät 5G, was eine weitere tolle Funktion des Smartphones ist. Der Akku ist mit einer Kapazität von 4.500 mAh für die recht fordernden Bildschirm-Technologien gut optimiert, doch bei Spielen oder Videowiedergaben kann der Akku leer werden. Mit 50W-Schnelladung kann man in nur 10 Minuten bis zu 27 Prozent des Akkus wiedererlangen. Zur Verfügung stehen auch 30W kabelloses Laden oder umgekehrtes kabelloses Laden mit 5W.

Für Aufnahmen hat das Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro ein vier-teiliges Kamera-Setup, das eine 108-MP-Hauptkamera, eine 20-MP-Weitwinkelkamera, ein 8-MP-Teleobjektiv mit 5x optischen Zoom und eine 12-MP-Porträtkamera mit 2x optischen Zoom vereint. Die Hauptkamera liefert kühne Aufnahmen mit gutem Kontrast und scheinbar präzisen Farben. Allerdings ist der Fokus etwas langsam im Vergleich zu anderen Flaggschiff-Kameras. Die Weitwinkelkamera liefert auch gute Aufnahmen, an den Seiten gibt es beinahe keine Verzerrung. Darüber hinaus gibt es eine 20-MP-Vorderkamera für Selfies, die angemessene Ergebnisse liefert. Im Porträt-Modus wird der Hintergrund genau verwischt und die richtigen Teile des Gesichtes werden hervorgehoben – die Kamera ist wirklich außerordentlich gut.

Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.

SD 865: High-End SoC (System on a Chip) für Smartphones welcher Ende 2019 vorgestellt wurde. Integriert unter anderen einen schnellen "Prime Core" mit bis zu 2,84 GHz und drei weitere schnelle Cortex-A77 basierende Performance-Kerne. Zum Stromsparen wurden außerdem 4 weitere ARM Cortex-A55 Kerne verbaut. Integriert kein eigens Modem, sonder ist gedacht um mit dem Snapdragon X55 5G Modem zusammenzuarbeiten.
