Der Intel Core i9-11900H ist ein Octa-Core-Prozessor für Gaming-Notebooks und Workstations. Er basiert auf die Tiger-Lake-Architektur (H45) und wurde im 2. Quartal 2021 präsentiert. Der Chip bietet einen TDP von 45 Watt (konfigurierbar). Die Prozessorkerne können von 2,5 bis 4,9 GHz (Einzelkern-Turbo) takten. Alle Kerne gemeinsam können maximal 4,4 GHz erreichen. Der Prozessor bietet 24 MB Level 3 Cache und unterstützt DDR4-3200 Speicher. Die integrierte Grafik basiert auf die Xe-Architektur und ist UHD Graphics benannt (32 EUs). Im 11900H taktet sie von 350 - 1450 MHz. Der Chip wird im neuen 10nm SuperFin Prozess gefertigt.
Dank der neuen Tiger Lake Architektur sollte die Leistung oberhalb des Vorgängers, dem Intel Core i9-10885H (Comet Lake-H, 2,4 - 5,3 GHz, 16 MB L3) liegen (Einzel- und Mehrkernperformance). Damit sollte die Performance vergleichbar sein mit einem aktuellem Ryzen 9 5800H (Zen 3, 3,2 - 4,4 GHz, 16 MB L3).
Wie bei den kleineren Tiger-Lake-Chips wird auch hier WLAN (Wifi 6E) und Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4 im Chip (teil-)integriert für schnellere, günstige und platzsparende Implementierungen in Notebooks. Weiters bietet der i9-11900H 20 PCIe 4.0 Lanes.
Der TDP ist bei 2,5 GHz Basistakt mit 45 Watt spezifiziert und kann auf 35 Watt und dadurch 2,1 GHz verringert werden (cTDP). Dadurch eignet sich die CPU am besten für große und schwere Notebooks.
Intel Core i9-12950HX ► remove from comparison
Der Intel Core i9-12950HX ist eine High-End-Notebook-CPU auf Basis der neuen Alder-Lake-Architektur. Die CPU basiert auf den Alder Lake-S Desktop-Chip und bietet alle 8 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove Architektur) und 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 24 Threads) und takten von 2,3 bis 5 GHz. Die E-Kerne takten von 1,7 - 3,6 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6920HQ ). Im Unterschied zum i9-12900HX, bietet der 12950HX Intel vPro Managment Features und ECC Speicher (Nachfolger der Xeon Linie). Die Übertaktungsoptionen sind jedoch etwas begrenzt.
Performance
Durch die zwei zusätzlichen P-Kerne und den höheren TDP sollte der i9-12950HX deutlich schneller sein als der i9-12900HK . Dadurch eignet sich die CPU hervorragend für anspruchsvolle Anwendungen und Spiele.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Vorgänger, integriert Intel in Alder Lake eine Intel Xe basierende Grafikeinheit. Beim 12950HX sind alle 32 EUs aktiviert und takten mit bis zu 1,55 GHz. Der schwächere 12900HK Mobilchip bietet 96 EUs.
Features
Wie auch Tiger Lake, hat auch Alder-Lake-P WiFi 6E und Thunderbolt 4 (4x) teilintegriert. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt DDR5-4800 und DDR4-3200. Der integrierte Gaussian and Neural Accelerator (GNA) ist nun in Version 3.0 verbaut. Die Media Engine Quick Sync 8 ist die selbe wie in Rocket Lake und unterstützt MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1 Decode, JPEG, VP8 Decode, VP9, HEVC und AV1 Decode. Der Chip unterstützt 48 PCIe Lanes, davon 16 PCIe 5.0 (x16 oder 2 x8).
Leistungsaufnahme
Der Intel Core i9-12950HX ist mit 55 Watt TDP angegeben (PL2 157 Watt). Gefertigt wird der 12900HX im modernen Intel 7 Prozess (10 nm).
