Lenovo Yoga Pro 9 16IAH10 RTX 5050 Test: Nicht die beste Konfiguration, die man wählen kann

Etwas günstiger, aber leider viel langsamer.

Das Yoga Pro 9 16 mit GeForce-RTX-5050-Grafik ist billiger, kühler und generell leiser als die teureren RTX-5060- oder -5070-Optionen. Leider ist das System mit fast 1.800 US-Dollar im Einzelhandel nicht viel günstiger als die höherwertigen Konfigurationen.

Fazit – Tolle Hardware, schwache Leistung pro Dollar

Das Yoga Pro 9 16 G10 Modell verdient den "Pro"-Namen voll und ganz und erhält daher unser Top-Rated-Award-Abzeichen. Sein hochwertiges Design, seine Materialien und seine Display-Optionen können es mit anderen Flaggschiff-Modellen für Prosumer wie den Modellen der Dell-XPS-Serie, HP-Spectre-Serie oder sogar der Razer-Blade-Serie in vielerlei Hinsicht aufnehmen. Leider ist die niedrigere RTX-5050-Konfiguration für die meisten wohl nicht das Richtige, da sie nur geringfügig billiger als die nächsthöhere Stufe und gleichzeitig viel langsamer ist, was zu einer schlechteren Leistung pro Dollar führt.

Noch schlimmer ist, dass die Entscheidung für die RTX-5050-Konfiguration nicht zwangsläufig zu längeren Akkulaufzeiten oder leiseren Lüftern beim Spielen oder bei hoher Last führt, obwohl die Leistung geringer ist. Der Core Ultra 9 285H bietet nicht einmal einen großen Vorteil gegenüber dem günstigeren Core Ultra 7 255H, aber SKUs mit der letztgenannten CPU sind in den USA leider schwieriger zu finden. Die Betriebstemperaturen mögen kühler sein, aber dieser leichte Vorteil verblasst im Vergleich zu der langen Liste von Nachteilen gegenüber der lohnenswerten RTX-5060-Option.

Im deutschsprachigen Raum wird das Yoga Pro 9 16 mit RTX-5050-Konfiguration derzeit nicht angeboten. Varianten mit RTX 5050 oder 5070 sind direkt bei Lenovo für 2.199 Euro aufwärts zu beziehen.

Das Yoga Pro 9 16 Gen 10 ist ein Flaggschiff unter den Prosumer-Notebooks von Lenovo, vergleichbar mit dem Dell XPS 16 oder HP Envy 16 in Bezug auf Leistungsumfang und Zielgruppe. Das Modell ist mit Intel-Arrow-Lake-H-CPUs und drei 100-W-Nvidia-GPU-Optionen erhältlich, darunter die GeForce RTX 5050, 5060 und 5070. Nachdem wir sowohl die RTX-5060- als auch die RTX-5070-Konfigurationen getestet haben, wollen wir nun sehen, wie die günstigere RTX-5050-Option im Vergleich zu den anderen SKUs abschneidet und ob sie trotz der geringeren Leistung eine Überlegung wert ist.

Performance

Testbedingungen

Wir haben Windows auf den Modus Performance und die Grafikkarte auf den dGPU-Modus eingestellt, bevor wir die folgenden Benchmarks durchgeführt haben. Advanced Optimus wird unterstützt, aber nicht G-Sync, da das Yoga Pro 9 16 nicht primär für Spiele gedacht ist.

Prozessor

Der Core Ultra 9 285H bietet keine nennenswerten Leistungsvorteile gegenüber der schwächeren Konfiguration mit Core Ultra 7 255H. In der Tat betragen selbst ihre Unterschiede auf dem Papier nur 100–300 MHz und führen im Yoga Pro 9 16 G10 zu keiner realen Differenz.

Wenn man Cyberpunk 2077 spielt, stabilisiert sich unsere RTX 5050 bei 82 W im Vergleich zu 93 und 98 W bei den Konfigurationen RTX 5060 und 5070. Die durchschnittliche GPU-Temperatur ist also deutlich niedriger, nämlich um etwa 7 °C. Dies kann auch die niedrigeren Oberflächentemperaturen beim Spielen erklären.

Die CPU- und GPU-Temperaturen pendeln sich beim Spielen im unteren 70-°C-Bereich ein, was für ein dünnes Gaming-Notebook recht niedrig ist. Das MSI Stealth 16 zum Beispiel kommt unter ähnlichen Spielbedingungen viel näher an 80 °C heran.

GPU-Leistung

Die mobile RTX 5050 ist etwa 15 bis 25 Prozent langsamer als die RTX-5060-Konfiguration oder etwa 35 Prozent langsamer als die RTX-5070-Konfiguration. Die Rohleistung liegt auf dem Niveau der älteren mobilen RTX 4060, allerdings ohne Blackwell-exklusive Funktionen wie die Unterstützung der Multi-Frame-Generation. Am wichtigsten ist vielleicht, dass die RTX 5050 nicht mit weniger VRAM ausgestattet ist als die mobile RTX-5070-Option.

Der Wechsel vom Modus Performance zum Modus Balanced bringt keine nennenswerten Leistungseinbußen mit sich. Zu beachten ist, dass die Grafikleistung im Vergleich zu Laptops mit schnelleren RTX-5070, -5080- oder -5090-GPUs, bei denen ein Defizit von 40 Prozent oder mehr üblich ist, im Akkubetrieb besser erhalten bleibt.

Systemrauschen

Die Lüftergeräusche beim Spielen erreichen das gleiche Maximum von ~51 dB(A) wie bei den schnelleren RTX-5060- oder -5070-Konfigurationen. Bei unserer RTX-5050-Konfiguration dauert es jedoch etwas länger, bis das Maximum erreicht wird, so dass das System länger leise laufen kann, bevor es die Lüfter hochfahren muss.

Die Oberflächentemperaturen bei anspruchsvoller Last sind merklich kühler als bei der RTX-5070-Konfiguration. Im Leerlauf von Cyberpunk 2077 erreichten die Temperaturen auf dem Tastaturdeck und der unteren Abdeckung knapp über 35 bzw. 42 °C, verglichen mit 42 bzw. 46 °C bei der schnelleren RTX-5070-Einheit.

Energieverwaltung

Stromverbrauch

Der Verbrauch kann im iGPU-Modus bei minimaler Helligkeit des Bildschirms bis zu 7 W betragen und im dGPU-Modus bei maximaler Helligkeit über 22 W. Beim Spielen verbraucht das System jedoch nur ein paar Watt weniger als die viel schnelleren RTX-5060- oder -5070-Optionen. Ein Upgrade auf die RTX-5060-Konfiguration würde beispielsweise nur 6 % mehr Strom verbrauchen, aber 20 bis 30 % schnellere Gaming-Leistung bieten.

Die RTX 5050 SKU wird mit dem gleichen 170-Watt-Netzteil ausgeliefert wie die anderen Konfigurationen, da alle drei GPUs für bis zu 100 Watt auf dem Yoga Pro 9 16 G10 ausgelegt sind.
