AMD V-Series V140

Der AMD V-Series V140 (manchmal auch Sempron V140 genannt) ist ein Einkernprozessor für Einsteiger Notebooks. Er basiert auf den Champlain Kern welcher wahrscheinlich auf die K10 Mikroarchitektur basiert. Wie die Athlon II P und N Prozessoren, hat der V140 nur eine 64 Bit FPU (Floating Point Unit) wie der alte K8 Kern. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller kann DDR3 (bis 1066) ansprechen.

Verglichen zum langsameren V120, bietet der V140 eine um 100 MHz höhere Taktrate. Dadurch sollte die CPU auf Höhe eines 2.2 GHz Celeron Einzelkernprozessor sich einordnen und im unteren Einsteigerbreich angeordnet sein. 

Die CPU wird mit dem AMD M880G Chipsatz (mit integrierter Radeon HD 4250) eingesetzt.
