Apple A4

Apple A4

Der Apple A4 ist ein SoC mit Einzelkern Cortex-A8 Prozessor (Hummingbird von Intrinsity wie von Samsung), PowerVR SGX 535 Grafikkarte und integriertem Speicherkontroller. Weiters ist ein PowerVR VXD für Audio- und Videowiedergabe verbaut. 

Er wird im iPad 1 (1000 MHz), iPhone 4 (800 MHz) und Ipod Touch 4G (776 MHz) eingesetzt.

Der Chip selbst besteht aus mehreren übereinander angeordneten Lagen. Zwei Lagen DDR-SDRAM (2x 128 MB) und die dritte Lage ist der SoC selbst.
