Mediatek Dimensity 800

Der MediaTek Dimensity 800 ist ein ARM-SoC (System-on-a-Chip) der Mittelklasse, das sowohl in Smartphones als auch Tablets (hauptsächlich Android) eingesetzt werden kann. Es bringt ein 5G-Modem mit und unterstützt den aktuellsten Mobilfunkstandard im Dual-SIM-Modus bei beiden Karten.

Während der Dimensity 800U zwei höher taktende Kerne mitbringt, sind es beim Dimensity 800 vier ARM Cortex-A76-Kerne für anspruchsvolle Aufgaben, allerdings nur mit bis zu 2 GHz. Für weniger anspruchsvolle Aufgaben gibt es vier ARM Cortex-A55 Kerne, ebenfalls mit bis zu 2 GHz Takt.

Der Hersteller gibt die maximale Downloadrate für das 5G-Modem mit 2,3 GBit/s an, allerdings kann sich das Gerät nur mit Sub-6-GHz-Netzen verbinden. Wi-Fi 5 (a/b/g/n/ac) ist ebenfalls an Bord. Der Speichercontroller unterstützt LPDDR4x-RAM mit bis zu 2133 MHz und maximal 16 GB.

Beim Massenspeicher kann maximal UFS-2.2-Memory zum Einsatz kommen.

Als integrierte Grafikkarte verwendet das SoC die ARM Mali-G57 MC4. 120-Hz-Displays können mit einer maximalen Auflösung von 1.080p bespielt werden.

Der MediaTek Dimensity 800 wird im 7-nm-Prozess hergestellt.
