Qualcomm SD 636

Der Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 (SDM636) ist ein Mittelklasse SoC für (Android basierende) Smartphones und Tablets. Er integriert 8 Prozessorkerne der eigenen Kryo 260 Architektur (64-Bit fähig). Qualcomm spricht von einer 40% höheren Performance im Vergleich zum Snapdragon 630 (8x Cortex-A53).

Das integrierte X12 LTE Modem unterstützt 4G mit bis zu 600 Mbps Download und 150 Mbps Upload. Weiters ist eine Adreno 509 Grafikkarte integriert mit Support für Vulkan und OpenGL ES 3.1. WLAN wir 802.11ac unterstützt und Bluetooth in der Version 5.0. Der Speicherkontroller unterstützt LPDDR4 mit 1333 MHz (Dual-Channel LPDDR4-2666).

Dank des modernen 14nm FinFET Herstellungsverfahrens, ist der SoC relativ genügsam und wahrscheinlich auch für kleinere Smartphones geeignet.
