Qualcomm SD 888 4G

Die Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 4G Mobile Platform ist ein High-End SoC für Smartphones der Mitte 2021 vorgestellt wurde. Er integriert einen schnellen ARM Cortex-X1 basierenden "Prime Core" mit bis zu 2,84 GHz und drei weitere schnelle Cortex-A78 basierende Performance-Kerne mit bis zu 2,42 GHz. Zum Stromsparen wurden außerdem 4 weitere ARM Cortex-A55 Kerne integriert (maximal 1,8 GHz). Im Unterschied zum Snapdragon 888 5G, bietet der 4G nur ein 4G Modem.

Bei der Leistung setzt sich der Snapdragon 888 ganz klar an die Spitze der SoC für Android Smartphones und Tablets und kann den alten Snapdragon 865 Plus um etwa 15% abhängen und positioniert sich dadurch etwas vor den alten Apple A13

Die integrierte AI Engine namens Hexagon 780 soll ebenfalls deutlich verbessert worden sein und bietet bis zu 26 TOPS an theoretischer Performance. 

Der Prozessor wird bei Samsung im 5nm Prozess (5LPE mit EUV) hergestellt und sollte dadurch eine sehr gute Energieeffizienz aufweisen.
