HiSilicon Kirin 820e

Der HiSilicon Kirin 820e von Huawei ist ein ARM-basiertes Octa-Core-SoC der Mittelklasse. Die schnellen Kerne sind niedriger getaktet als beim Kirin 820, ansonsten gibt es keine Unterschiede.

Es bietet ein integriertes 5G-Multi-Mode-Modem, drei CPU-Cluster, eine ARM Mali-G57 MP6 (6 Kerne) und eine DaVinci-NPU für AI-Berechnungen. 

Der einzelne Performance-Kern vom Typ ARM Cortex-A76 kann mit bis zu 2,22 GHz takten und soll für eine schnelle Single-Core-Leistung sorgen. Drei weitere ARM Cortex-A76 ("Middle-Cores") takten mit maximal 2,0 GHz etwas langsamer. Für weniger anspruchsvolle Aufgaben stehen weiters 4 ARM Cortex-A55 Kerne mit 1,84 GHz bereit.

Die CPU-Leistung liegt in etwa auf dem Niveau des Kirin 810. Die neue GPU dürfte jedoch deutlichere Geschwindigkeitsvorteile bringen, wie auch die neue NPU.

Das SoC wird im 7-nm-Prozess gefertigt.
