Marvell Technology Group PXA1088

Der Marvell PXA1088 ist ein ARM basierter Quad-Core SoC für Smartphones und Tablets. Er bietet vier Cortex-A7 Kerne welche je nach Design maximal 1 bis 1.3 GHz erreichen. Im HP Slate 6 6000en VoiceTab z.B. 1,1 GHz, im Slate 7 6100en 1,2 GHz.

Weiters befindet sich im Chip integriert eine Vivante GC1000 Grafikkarte und eine Video Engine für 1080p 30fps / 720p 60fps Dekodierung von H.263, H.264 HP, MPEG-4, MPEG 2, DivX/XviD, AVS, MV und MJPEG  und Enkodierung mit maximal 1080p 30fps für H.263, H.264, MPEG-4 und MJPEG.

Für drahtlose Verbindungen ist ein GSM/Edge/TD-SCDMA/WCDMA Modem, WLAN/FM Chip und GPS Empfänger direkt im Chip verbaut.
