Der AMD Ryzen 5 1600 ist ein Desktop-Prozessor mit 6-Kernen und Hyperthreading (SMT = 12 Threads). Anfang 2017 ist er der zweit-stärkste Ryzen 5 Prozessor, mit 65 Watt TDP jedoch auch deutlich geringer spezifiziert als der schneller getkatete Ryzen 5 1600X.
Der Ryzen 5 1600 taktet mit 3,2 GHz Basistakt und kann per Turbo auf bis zu 3,6 GHz takten (maximal 2 Kerne) bzw per XFR auf 3,7 GHz (ebenfalls maximal 2 Kerne). Bei Last aller 6 Kerne können maximal 3,4 GHz erreicht werden.
Die Leistung ist vor allem in Anwendungen hervorragend. Hier kann der echte 6-Kerner seine Stärken ausspielen. Die 6 Kerne sind in zwei Cluster (je 3 Kerne mit eigenem L3 Cache) unterteilt die per Infinity Fabric verbunden sind.
Bei Spielen kann der auf die Zen Architektur basierende Prozessor nicht vollends überzeugen. Fehlende Anpassungen der Spielehersteller sind laut AMD hieran schuld. Die schnellen Core i7 Quad Cores von Intel sind hier derzeit meist schneller.

Der AMD Ryzen 5 2500U ist ein Mobilprozessor für schlanke Notebooks. Der SoC beinhaltet 4 Zen Kerne (Quad-Core CPU) die von 2 - 3,6 GHz getaktet werden. Der TDP ist konfigurierbar zwischen 12 und 25 Watt (15 Watt nominell) und daher eignet sich die APU auch für schlanke und leichte Notebooks. Der L3-Cache beträgt beim 2500U 4 MB. Weiters ist eine Radeon RX Vega 8 getaufte Grafikkarte mit 8 CUs (512 Shader) integriert. Der integrierte Speichercontroller unterstützt maximal Dual-Channel DDR4-2400.
