Sie soll laut Qualcomm Software-kompatibel mit dem Spitzenmodell (Adreno 530 im Snapdragon 820 ) sein und alle modernen APIs wie Vulkan, OpenGL ES 3.1 + AE (3.2), OpenCL 2.0 und Direct3D 12 (FL 11.1 bzw 12.1) unterstützen. Laut Qualcomm ist die Adreno 504 um 50% schneller als die Vorgänger-Grafikkarte im Snapdragon 425, die Adreno 308 .
Im Snapdragon 429 wird sie im modernen 12nm Prozess hergestellt.
