Sie soll laut Qualcomm Software-kompatibel mit dem Spitzenmodell (Adreno 530 im Snapdragon 820 ) sein und alle modernen APIs wie Vulkan, OpenGL ES 3.1 + AE (3.2), OpenCL 2.0 und Direct3D 12 (FL 11.1 bzw 12.1) unterstützen. Weiter Unterstützt die GPU Universal Bandwidth Compression (UBWC) für die Grafikspeicher-Kompression.
Laut Qualcomm ist die Adreno 504 um 50% schneller als die Vorgänger-Grafikkarte im Snapdragon 425, die Adreno 308 .
Im Snapdragon 429 wird sie im modernen 12nm Prozess hergestellt.

The Qualcomm Adreno 505 ist eine Mittelklasse Grafikkarte für Smartphones und im Snapdragon 430/435 SoC verbaut. Sie soll laut Qualcomm Softwarekompatibel mit dem Spitzenmodell (Adreno 530 im Snapdragon 820 ) sein und alle modernen APIs wie Vulkan, OpenGL ES 3.1 + AE (3.2), OpenCL 2.0 und Direct3D 12 (FL 11.1 bzw 12.1) unterstützen. Weiter Unterstützt die GPU Universal Bandwidth Compression (UBWC) für die Grafikspeicher-Kompression. Der Unterschied zur Adreno 506 im Snapdragon 625 ist bis jetzt nicht genau bekannt, jedoch wird die 505 noch im älteren 28nm Prozess hergestellt und bietet anscheinend weniger Rohleistung.
