AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 ► remove from comparison Der AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 ist ein schneller Mobilprozessor der Strix Point Familie welcher im Juni 2024 vorgestellt wurde. Die APU integriert 12 Prozessorkerne mit 2 - 5,1 GHz, eine 16 CU RDNA3+ Grafikkarte und eine starke 50 TOPS XDNA 2 Neural Engine (AI Beschleunigung).
Von den 12 Prozessorkernen sind vier große Zen 5 Kerne und 8 kleinere Zen 5c Kerne mit weniger Cache.
Der Ryzen AI 9 Chip unterstützt LPDDR5x-8000 und DDR5-5600 RAM und ist kompatibel mit USB 4 (und damit Thunderbolt). Er unterstützt PCIe 4.0 mit einem Durchsatz von 1,9 GB/s pro Lane, genau wie seine Vorgänger der 8000er Serie. Die integrierte XDNA 2 NPU liefert bis zu 50 INT8 TOPS zur Beschleunigung verschiedener KI-Workloads.
Leistung
In Anbetracht der IPC-Verbesserung erwarten wir, dass 4 Zen-5-Kerne in Kombination mit 8 Zen-5c-Kernen so gut abschneiden wie 16 Zen-3-Kerne, was bedeutet, dass der AI 9 HX 370 den Ryzen 9 7945HX einholen sollte. Wir werden diesen Abschnitt auf jeden Fall aktualisieren, sobald wir ein Notebook mit dem Ryzen AI 9 in die Hände bekommen.
Stromverbrauch
Der 370 hat einen Basis-TDP von 28 W, wobei es den Laptop-Herstellern freisteht, ihn auf bis zu 54 W aufzustocken.
Der 4-nm-TSMC-Prozess, mit dem die CPU-Kerne gefertigt werden, sorgt für eine gute Energieeffizienz.
AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS ► remove from comparison Der AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS ist ein Mobilprozessor für große Notebooks (z.B. Gaming-Laptops) basierend auf die Renoir Generation. Der SoC beinhaltet acht Zen 2 Kerne (Octa-Core CPU) welche mit bis zu 4,2 GHz getaktet werden (Turbo) und SMT / Hyperthreading (16 Threads) unterstützen. Der Chip wird im modernen 7nm Prozess bei TSMC gefertigt und soll laut AMD eine 2x verbesserte Performance pro Watt bieten als die Ryzen 3000 APUs (z.B. den Ryzen 7 3750H Vorgänger).
Laut AMD ist der Ryzen 7 4800H (und damit der HS in etwa) um 5% schneller als ein Intel Core i7-9750H im Einzelkernbenchmark des Cinebench R20 und 46% schneller im Multikernbenchmark. Damit würde sich die CPU zwischen dem Intel Core i9-9880H und 9980HK an der Spitze von mobilen Prozessoren einordnen. Damit eignet sie sich auch für anspruchsvolle Anforderungen sehr gut. Laut Asus (die den Chip exklusiv für die ersten Monate einsetzen), ist die Performance vergleichbar mit dem Ryzen 7 4800H.
Der SoC integriert neben den acht Prozessorkernen noch eine Radeon RX Vega 7 Grafikkarte mit 7 CUs und bis zu 1600 MHz Takt, einen Dual-Channel DDR4-3200 / LPDDR4-4266 Speicherkontroller und 8 MB Level 3 Cache. Im Vergleich zum Ryzen 7 4800H , bietet der 4800HS einen um 10 Watt geringeren TDP (35 versus 45 W) bei sonst gleichen Spezifikationen. Daher ist der Chip für große und schwere Notebooks vorgesehen und benötigt, trotz des effizienten 7nm Herstellungsprozesses, eine gute Kühlung um die Leistung auch dauerhaft zu erbringen.
