Der Intel Core i9-14900HX ist eine High-End-CPU auf Basis der Raptor-Lake-Architektur für große und schwere Notebooks. Die CPU wurde Anfang 2024 vorgestellt und ist eine leicht höhergetaktete Variante des älteren Core i9-13980HX.
Die insgesamt 32 Threads unterteilen sich in P-Cores und E-Cores, die wir bereits von Alder-Lake her kennen. Dabei kommen 8 Performance-Kerne (P-Cores) mit Hyperthreading zum Einsatz und 16 Effizienzkerne, sodass in Summe 32 Threads gleichzeitig verarbeitet werden können. Die P-Kerne takten von 2,2 GHz (Basistakt) bis 5,8 GHz (Einzelkern-Turbo) und die E-Kerne von 1,6 GHz bis 4,1 GHz.
Performance
Durch die leicht höheren Maximaltaktraten steigt vor allem die Einzelkernleistung des 14900HX im Vergleich zum 13980HX etwas an. Im Vergleich zum Topmodell von AMD, dem Ryzen 9 7945HX bzw 7945HX3D reicht sich der 14900HX knapp dahinter ein (im Schnitt unserer Benchmarks). Die Leistung ist aber abhängig vom Benchmark und der Kühlung und meist sehr vergleichbar.
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Intel Core i9-12900HX bietet der Intel Core i9-14900HX eine integrierte Grafikeinheit. Als Basis dient weiterhin die Intel Iris XE-Architektur. Rein leistungstechnisch hat sich bei der neuen Intel UHD Graphics 770 aber nicht viel verändert.
Der 14900HX wird im weiter verbesserten 10nm FinFET Verfahren bei Intel gefertigt (Intel 7 Prozess) und ist spezifiziert mit 55 Watt Base Power und 157 Watt Turbo Power.

Der Intel Core 7 240H ist eine High-End-CPU auf Basis der Raptor Lake-H Refresh Serie (Alder-Lake-Architektur), die gegen Ende 2024 vorgestellt wurde. Die CPU basiert auf den Alder Lake-P Chip (für H und P-Serie) und bietet alle 6 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove Architektur) und 4 der 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 16 Threads) und takten von 2,5 bis 5,2 GHz (Einzelkern-Turbo). Die E-Kerne takten von 1,8 - 4 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6700HQ).
Der Intel Core 7 Prozessor 240H ist ein Refresh des Core i7-13620H, jedoch mit höherer Taktfrequenz (vor Allem Boost +300 MHz) und Support für DDR5-5600.
Performance
Durch die höhere Taktung, sollte sich der C7 240H etwas vom alten Core i7-13620H abheben können, bleibt aber hinter den 14-Kern-Modellen zurück (wie z.B. Core 7 250H).
Grafikeinheit
Wie auch der Vorgänger, integriert Intel in Alder Lake eine Intel Xe basierende Grafikeinheit. Beim 240H sind nur 64 der 96 EUs aktiviert und takten mit bis zu 1,55 GHz.
Features
Wie auch Tiger Lake, hat auch Alder-Lake-P WiFi 6E und Thunderbolt 4 (4x) teilintegriert. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt jetzt DDR5-5600 (im Vergleich zur 4800 MHz beim 12650H). Der integrierte Gaussian and Neural Accelerator (GNA) ist nun in Version 3.0 verbaut. Die Media Engine Quick Sync 8 ist die selbe wie in Rocket Lake und unterstützt MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1 Decode, JPEG, VP8 Decode, VP9, HEVC und AV1 Decode. Der Chip unterstützt PCIe 5.0 x8 für eine dGPU und zwei PCIe 4.0 x4 für SSDs. Der PCH bietet noch PCIe Gen3 x12.
Leistungsaufnahme
Der Intel Core 7 240H ist mit 45 Watt TDP angegeben (115W PL2). Gefertigt wird der i7 im weiter verbesserten Intel 7 Prozess (10 nm SuperFin).
