Fazit - Unser neuer Lenovo-Lieblings-Clamshell

Durch die Konzentration auf das Wesentliche ist das Yoga Slim 7 Ultra 14 Aura Edition mit Leichtigkeit eines der besten Subnotebooks von Lenovo für Reisende, die einfach nur ein ultraleichtes Clamshell-Notebook mit dem neuesten Intel Prozessor, aber ohne überflüssigen Schnickschnack oder aufgesetzte Neuerungen wollen. Vor allem Panther Lake ist ein so großer Schritt nach vorne in Sachen Effizienz, dass das Zielgewicht von <1 kg mit weniger Abstrichen erreicht werden kann, als man vielleicht erwartet. Zwar gab es bereits früher 14-Zoll-Geräte unter 1 kg, doch deren Nachteile waren weitreichend und offensichtlich, darunter eine schlechtere Leistung, kürzere Laufzeiten, keine Touchscreen-Unterstützung und ein nachgiebigeres Gehäuse. Das neue Yoga Slim 7 Ultra 14 Aura bietet eine ordentliche Spieleleistung auf Gaming-Niveau (wenn es mit dem X7 konfiguriert wird), eine respektable Akkulaufzeit, standardmäßig einen OLED-Touchscreen und ein stabiles Gehäuse für einen hervorragenden ersten Eindruck, vor allem wenn man bedenkt, dass es über 500 g leichter ist als das konkurrierende XPS 14.

Ein paar kleine Schwächen gibt es dennoch, so geringfügig sie auch sein mögen: Benutzer, die ein Maximum an Gehäusesteifigkeit und Akkulaufzeit suchen, werden das schwerere XPS 14 immer noch als robuster, langlebiger, leiser und mit stärkeren internen Lautsprechern und 3,5-mm-Klinkenanschluss finden. Wenn Sie jedoch ständig unterwegs und nicht die meiste Zeit des Tages an einen einzigen Schreibtisch angedockt sind, dann ist das Lenovo wohl die bessere Wahl.

Enthüllt auf der CES 2026 und nur wenige Monate auf den Markt gebracht, ist das Yoga Slim 7 Ultra 14IPH11 (oder Yoga Slim 7i Ultra 14 Aura Edition G11) eines der ersten Lenovo Notebooks, das mit Intel Panther Lake ausgeliefert wird und die Meteor-Lake-Optionen des 2024er Modells der 9. Generation und die Lunar-Lake-Optionen auf dem 2025 Modell der 10. Generation ablöst. Das Design wurde noch einmal komplett überarbeitet und verzichtet auf das schicke 2,5D-Glas und die massiven 32-MP-Webcam-Sensoren von früher, um ein leichteres und fokussierteres Design zu bieten.

Bei unserem Testgerät handelt es sich um eine mittlere Konfiguration mit der Core-Ultra-7-355-CPU für etwa 1.700 US-Dollar. Niedrigere SKUs enthalten den Core Ultra 5 325, während höhere SKUs den Core Ultra X7 358H oder Core Ultra X9 388H haben, aber alle Konfigurationen werden mit dem gleichen 2.8K-POLED-Touchscreen ausgeliefert.

Zu den Konkurrenten des Yoga Slim 7i Ultra 14 gehören andere Flaggschiff-Subnotebooks mit 14 Zoll wie das MSI Prestige 14 AI+, Dell XPS 14, Asus Zenbook 14 oder das HP OmniBook Ultra 14.

Gehäuse

Das Yoga Slim 7i Ultra 14 hat sehr ähnliche äußere Merkmale wie das AMD basierte Yoga Slim 7a 14. Unsere Intel basierte Version verfügt jedoch über kleinere Scharniere, eine geringfügig kürzere Länge und ein völlig anderes Motherboard-Design, was zu einem deutlich geringeren Gewicht von nur 978 g führt. Dies ist zweifellos eines der leichtesten 14-Zoll-Clamshell-Notebooks von Lenovo, ohne dass man auf Steifigkeit oder Touchscreen-Funktionen wie beim LG Gram verzichten müsste.

Die Scharniere lassen sich sehr weit öffnen, bis zu 170 Grad.

Nachhaltigkeit

Das System besteht zu 90 Prozent aus recycelter Magnesiumlegierung für die obere Abdeckung, zu 60 Prozent aus recycelter Aluminiumlegierung für den Tastatursockel, zu 100 Prozent aus recyceltem Kupfer bzw. Kobalt für die Leiterplatte und die Batteriezellen sowie zu 90 Prozent aus recyceltem PCC-Kunststoff für verschiedene Teile des Gehäuses. Die Verpackung ist frei von Kunststoff und vollständig recycelbar.

Zubehör und Garantie

In der Verpackung befinden sich außer dem Netzteil und den Papieren keine weiteren Extras. Beim Kauf in den USA gilt die übliche einjährige beschränkte Garantie.

Das Yoga Slim 7 Ultra 14IPH11 verwendet genau das gleiche OLED-Panel wie das Yoga Slim 7a 14AGP11, so dass die beiden Notebook Modelle im Wesentlichen das gleiche Seherlebnis bieten. Merkmale wie die Bildwiederholfrequenz von 120 Hz, DisplayHDR1000-Unterstützung und die native Auflösung von 1.800p sind unverändert. Insbesondere Letztere ist deutlich dichter als bei vielen anderen 14-Zoll-Bildschirmen, was zu einem sehr scharfen Bild auf unserem Lenovo führt.

Im Vergleich zum Display des 2025 Yoga Slim 7i Aura hat das Display unseres neuen 2026 Yoga Slim 7i Ultra Aura die doppelte Bildwiederholfrequenz, die doppelte HDR-Helligkeit (bis zu 1.056 nits in unserem Test) und die 2,25-fache Auflösung.

Die Reaktionszeiten (Response Times) beschreiben wie schnell zwischen zwei Farben eines Pixels umgeschaltet werden kann. Langsame Response Times können zu einer verschwommenen Darstellung, Schlieren und Geisterbilder führen. Besonders bei schnellen 3D-Spielen sind kurze Umschaltzeiten wichtig.

Bildschirm-Flackern / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

Eine günstige Methode um die Helligkeit eines Bildschirms zu steuern, ist die Beleuchtung periodisch ein- und auszuschalten. Dies nennt sich PWM (Pulsweitenmodulation) Diese Umschaltung sollte mit einer hohen Frequenz stattfinden damit das menschliche Auge kein Flimmern wahrnimmt. Wenn die Frequenz zu niedrig ist, kann dies zu Ermüdungserscheinungen, Augenbrennen, Kopfweh und auch sichtbaren Flackern führen.

Das Display flackert mit 479.46 Hz (im schlimmsten Fall, eventuell durch Pulsweitenmodulation PWM) bei einer eingestellten Helligkeit von 100 % und darunter. Darüber sollte es zu keinem Flackern kommen.

Die Frequenz von 479.46 Hz ist relativ hoch und sollte daher auch bei den meisten Personen zu keinen Problemen führen. Empfindliche User sollen laut Berichten aber sogar noch bei 500 Hz und darüber ein Flackern wahrnehmen.

Im Vergleich: 52 % aller getesteten Geräte nutzten kein PWM um die Helligkeit zu reduzieren. Wenn PWM eingesetzt wurde, dann bei einer Frequenz von durchschnittlich 7892 (Minimum 5, Maximum 343500) Hz.

Wir haben Windows in den Performance-Modus versetzt, bevor wir die folgenden Benchmarks durchgeführt haben.

Prozessor

Der Panther Lake Core Ultra 7 355 liefert sich ein Kopf-an-Kopf-Rennen mit dem letztjährigen Lunar Lake Core Ultra 7 258V in Bezug auf die Prozessorleistung. Ein Upgrade auf den Core Ultra X7 soll die Multi-Thread-Leistung um bis zu 60 Prozent steigern.

Es ist zu beachten, dass ein Downgrade auf den günstigeren Core Ultra 5 325 von unserer Core-Ultra-7-355-Konfiguration fast keine Leistungseinbußen mit sich bringt.

Die Panther Lake Xe3 4 iGPU ist eine ordentliche Verbesserung gegenüber der vorherigen Generation Iris Xe 96 EUs, die in vielen älteren Core-i7-Ultrabooks zu finden ist. Die Performance ist in etwa auf dem Niveau der konkurrierenden Radeon 860M, wenn nicht sogar etwas schneller.

Systemgeräusche

Das System läuft fast geräuschlos, wenn man im Internet surft oder streamt, aber die internen Lüfter werden ziemlich schnell lauter, sobald eine höhere Last anliegt. Wenn man beispielsweise Cyberpunk 2077 spielt, erreicht das Lüftergeräusch in weniger als einer Minute nach dem ersten Start sein Maximum von 44 dB(A).

Stresstest

Die CPU stieg beim Starten von Prime95 Stress auf 3,6 GHz, 51 W und 98 °C an, bevor sie nur 30 Sekunden später auf 3,1 GHz, 32 W und 79 °C fällt und sich stabilisiert. Das Turbo-Boost-Potenzial ist also auf dem Yoga Slim 7 Ultra 14 begrenzt.

Die GPU-Taktrate und die Temperatur bei der Ausführung von Cyberpunk 2077 stabilisieren sich bei 2.500 MHz bzw. 78 °C, was fast genau dem entspricht, was wir auf dem konkurrierenden XPS 14 unter ähnlichen Bedingungen gemessen haben.

Energieverwaltung

Stromverbrauch

Der Verbrauch unter Prime95 ist etwa 12 Prozent geringer als beim AMD betriebenen Yoga Slim 7a 14, obwohl unsere Intel CPU 20 Prozent schneller ist und damit eine bessere Leistung pro Watt als der Ryzen-AI-400-Konkurrent bietet. In ähnlicher Weise fallen sowohl die Leistung als auch die Leistung pro Watt wieder leicht zugunsten von Intel aus, wenn die GPU belastet wird.

Wir konnten mit dem kleinen (~5,5 x 5,5 x 2,9 cm) 65-W-USB-C-Netzteil ein vorübergehendes Maximum von 69 W messen, wenn die CPU voll ausgelastet ist. Konfigurationen mit dem schnelleren Core Ultra X7 dürften generell etwas anspruchsvoller sein, basierend auf unseren Erfahrungen mit den XPS 16 SKUs.
