Intel Core Ultra 7 155H ► remove from comparison Der Intel Core Ultra 7 155H ist eine High-End-CPU der Meteor-Lake-H-Serie die im Dezember 2023 vorgestellt wurde. Der SoC setzt zum ersten Mal auf ein Tile/Chiplet-Design. Der Compute-Tile bietet 6 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Redwood Cove Architektur) und 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Crestmont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 22 Threads) und takten bis 4,8 GHz. Die E-Kerne takten mit maximal 3,8 GHz. Zusätzlich gibt es nun noch zwei weitere Low-Power-Efficiency-Kerne auf der Low-Power-Island, im Leerlauf und bei einfachen Aufgaben kann der Compute-Tile daher komplett deaktiviert werden, um Strom zu sparen.
Performance
Mit Meteor-Lake-P wird die bisherige Architektur weiter verbessert, es gibt aber keine grundlegenden Änderungen. Die Leistung ist daher auch nur geringfügig höher als bei den Raptor-Lake-Prozessoren.
Grafikeinheit
Der Core Ultra 7 155H bietet eine neue ARC-iGPU mit 8 Xe-Kernen und 128 EUs, die maximal 2,25 GHz erreichen. Die Leistung gegenüber der alten Iris Xe Graphics G7 mit 96 EUs konnte ungefähr verdoppelt werden.
Features
Meteor Lake-H hat WiFi 6E und Thunderbolt 4 (4x) integriert. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt jetzt LPDDR5/x-7467 (max. 64 GB) oder DDR5-5600 (max. 96 GB). Es kommt nun eine dedizierte NPU (2x Gen3 Neural Compute Engines) zum Einsatz. Die Xe Media Engine unterstützt MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1 Decode, JPEG, VP8 Decode, VP9, HEVC und AV1 Decode bis zu 8K 10-Bit HDR. Der Chip unterstützt jetzt PCIe-5.0 (x8 für GPU) und PCIe-4.0 (drei x12 für SSDs).
Leistungsaufnahme
Der Intel Core Ultra 7 155H ist mit 28 Watt TDP (Base) und 64 Watt bzw. 115 Watt (PL2) max. Turbo Power angegeben. Meteor Lake besteht aus fünf einzelnen Chips, wobei der Prozessorteil im neuen Intel 4 Prozess (7nm) gefertigt wird. Die Grafikeinheit wird bei TSMC in N5 produziert und SoC und I/O-Tile im älteren N6 Prozess. Diese 4 Chips werden dann per Foveros-Verfahren auf den 22nm Base-Tile aufgebracht.
Intel Core Ultra 7 256V ► remove from comparison Der Intel Core Ultra 7 256V ist ein Prozessor der oberen Mittelklasse der Lunar Lake Familie Prozessor. Dabei handelt es sich um ein SoC für den Einsatz in Laptops und Tablets der schlankeren Art, das über 4 neue E-Kerne und 4 neue P-Kerne verfügt, die mit 2,2 GHz bis zu 4,8 GHz laufen, zusammen mit der vielversprechenden neuen Arc 140V iGPU und 16 GB integriertem LPDDR5x-8533 RAM (auf dem Chip). Eine neue 47 TOPS neuronale Engine, Thunderbolt 4 und PCIe 5 SSD Unterstützung sind ebenfalls enthalten.
Der einzige Unterschied zwischen diesem Chip und dem Ultra 7 258V ist die Menge des integrierten Arbeitsspeichers: 16 GB vs.bzw. 32 GB.
Architektur und Eigenschaften
Lunar Lake wird mit der Foveros-Technologie (Stapeln mehrerer Dies über- und nebeneinander) gebaut, genau wie Meteor Lake. Diese neuen Chips nutzen die enorme BGA2833-Sockelschnittstelle; Lion Cove P-Kerne ersetzen Redwood-Kerne, während Crestmont E-Kerne zugunsten von Skymont entsorgt wurden, wobei letzterer Berichten zufolge so energieeffizient ist, dass die zusätzlichen 2 Low Power Island CPU-Kerne, die Meteor Lake hatte, völlig überflüssig sind. Von den 8 Kernen ist kein einziger Hyper-Threading-fähig, was das Gegenteil von dem ist, was AMD derzeit mit seinen Zen 5/5c Chips macht.
Intel behauptet, dass die Lion Cove Kerne eine 14%ige IPC-Verbesserung mit sich bringen. Bei Skymont sind es 68%. Auch andere generationsübergreifende Verbesserungen sind vorhanden, wie z.B. die Low Latency Fabric, die kleine Datentransfers zwischen Kernen/Caches viel schneller machen soll. An anderer Stelle verfügt das 256V über 4 PCIe 5 und 4 PCIe 4 Lanes für den Anschluss verschiedener Geräte, einschließlich NVMe SSDs mit bis zu 15,75 GB/s. Thunderbolt 4 Unterstützung ist standardmäßig an Bord, ebenso wie Unterstützung für CNVi WiFi 7 + BT 5.4 Karten von Intel. Die neuronale Engine 47 TOPS AI Boost ist zusammen mit Technologien wie Threat Detection vorhanden, um KI-fähige Anwendungen wie den Windows Defender noch leistungsfähiger zu machen.
Dieser Core Ultra Prozessor der 2. Generation ist mit 16 GB nicht austauschbarem LPDDR5x-8533 Arbeitsspeicher im Lieferumfang enthalten.
Performance
Die Effizienzkerne des Chips laufen mit bis zu 3,7 GHz, bei den Performance-Kernen sind es bis zu 4,8 GHz. In ersten unserer Benchmarks kann die CPU in etwa mit dem Apple M2 und dem Core i7-1360P gleichziehen. Auch der schneller getaktete Core Ultra 9 288V ist direkt in Schlagdistanz und kann seine höheren Taktraten nicht ausspielen (wahrscheinlich durch die TDP-Begrenzung).
Grafik
Die Arc Grafik 140V ersetzt jetzt den 8-Kern Arc iGPU. Seine 8 Kerne der Xe²-Architektur laufen mit bis zu 1.950 MHz und er verfügt außerdem über 8 Raytracing-Einheiten. Der Adapter ist DirectX 12 Ultimate-fähig und kann eine lange Liste gängiger Videocodecs wie h.266 VVC, h.265 HEVC, h.264 AVC, AV1 und VP9 HW-dekodieren. Drei SUHD 4320p Monitore können gleichzeitig mit dieser iGPU verwendet werden.
Ihre Leistung in der Praxis ist nur geringfügig besser als die der Radeon 780M für spielbare Frameraten in jedem 2024-Spiel bei 1080p auf niedrigen Grafikeinstellungen liefert.
Stromverbrauch
Die meisten Lunar Lake Prozessoren sollen ein langfristiges Stromverbrauchsziel von 17 W haben. Der 256V tut dies sicherlich. In der Zwischenzeit liegt der von Intel empfohlene kurzfristige PL-Wert für den Chip bei 37 W.
