AMD A10-9620P

Der AMD A10-9620P ist ein Mittelklasse-Modell der Bristol-Ridge APU-Serie für Notebooks (7. APU-Generation), die Anfang 2017 vorgestellt wurde. Der ULV-Chip mit einer TDP von 15 Watt integriert unter anderem vier CPU-Kerne (zwei Excavator-Module), eine Radeon R5 Grafikkarte (384 Shadereinheiten bzw. 6 Compute Core) sowie einen Dual-Channel DDR4-1866 Speichercontroller. Als vollwertiger SoC verfügt Carrizo darüber hinaus über einen integrierten Chipsatz, der sämtliche I/O-Ports bereitstellt. Im Vergleich zum A10-9600P, taktet der 9620P um 100 MHz höher.

Architektur

Bei Bristol Ridge handelt es sich um den nahezu baugleichen Nachfolger der Carrizo-Architektur, der dank optimierter Fertigung und aggressiverem Boost-Verhalten jedoch bei gleicher Leistungsaufnahme etwas höhere Taktraten erreicht. Des Weiteren unterstützt der Speichercontroller nun auch DDR4-RAM, in diesem Fall bis zu einer Frequenz von 1.866 MHz.

Performance

In den meisten Benchmarks platziert sich der A10-9620P etwas vor dem alten 15-Watt-Topmodell FX-8800P und knapp vor dem 100 MHz langsameren A10-9600P.

Für typische Office- und Internet-Anwendungensowie leichtes Multitasking stehen damit ausreichende Leistungsreserven bereit.

Grafikeinheit

Die integrierte Radeon R5 (Bristol Ridge) GPU verfügt über 384 aktive Shadereinheiten (6 Compute Cores), die mit bis zu 720 MHz takten. Infolge der besseren Ausnutzung des Taktspielraums sowie des schnellen DDR4-Speichers übertrifft die GPU knapp ihre Vorgängermodelle Radeon R5/Radeon R6 (Carrizo) und konkurriert im Optimalfall (Dual-Channel-Speicher) mit einer dedizierten GeForce 920M. Viele Spiele des Jahres 2015/2016 können damit in niedrigen Einstellungen flüssig dargestellt werden.

Leistungsaufnahme

Die TDP des A10-9600P wird von AMD mit 15 Watt spezifiziert und ist somit vergleichbar zu den ULV-Modellen von Intel. Damit eignet sich die CPU am besten für schlanke Notebooks ab etwa 12 Zoll Bilddiagonale.
