Richland wurde gegenüber dem Vorgänger Trinity nur minimal überarbeitet, sodass keine Änderungen beim Featureset oder der Pro-MHz-Leistung zu verzeichnen sind. Der Aufbau des Chips basiert weiterhin auf der Bulldozer-Architektur , welche auf die sogenannte Modulbauweise setzt. Jedes der beiden Module integriert 2 Integer-Einheiten, aber nur eine FPU, weshalb beim A10-5750M nur bedingt von einem echten 4-Kerner gesprochen werden kann. Ebenso wie Trinity unterstützt Richland nahezu alle aktuellen Techniken wie AVX (inkl. FMA), AES oder Turbo Core.
