Die Samsung PM961 ist eine schnelle High-End-SSD für OEM-Hersteller. Sie wird im M.2 Format gefertigt und nutzt das AHCI oder NVMe Protokoll mit PCIe-3.0-x4-Anschluss. Als Controller setzt Samsung auf den hauseigenen Polaris Chip, als Speicher wird günstiger TLC-Flash (3bit MLC). Die Leseraten werden mit bis zu 3.000 MB/s und Schreibrate mit bis zu 1.150 MB/s angegeben.
