Intel Core i9-9980XE
Der Intel Core i9-9980XE ist eine High-End-CPU mit 18 Kernen auf Basis der Sky Lake-X Refresh Serie. Der Prozessor taktet mit 3 - 4,4 GHz und kann bis zu 36 Threads gleichzeitig ausführen. Die CPU kann auf 24,75 MB Level 3 Cache zugreifen und verknüpft die einzelnen Kerne mit einem Mesh-Interconnect statt des Ringbusses bei Consumer Modellen.
Mit den 18 Kernen und knapp 2000 Dollar Listenpreis ist die CPU ganz klar an Professionelle User gerichtet die Multithreaded-Anwendungen nutzen. Bei Spielen sind aktuelle 8-Kern-Consumer-Modelle wie der Core i9-9900K deutlich schneller.
Die CPU ist mit einem TDP von 165 Watt spezifiziert und braucht daher eine sehr gute Kühlung.
