Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 3600

Der Graphics Media Accelerator 3600 ist eine integrierte (shared Memory) Grafikkarte für Netbooks, welche in den Intel Atom N26xx Prozessoren integriert ist. Der Grafikkern basiert auf dem PowerVR SGX 545 Chip (ähnlich wie im GMA 500). Im Vergleich zum GMA 3650, bietet der 3600 nur eine Taktfrequenz von 400MHz (3650 640MHz). Obwohl mit DirectX 10.1 angekündigt, unterstützt die GPU zum Launch nur DirectX 9.

Die Spieleleistung ist sehr bescheiden und sehr viele Spiele starten nicht einmal mit der Grafikkarte. Auch dort, wo die Kompatibilität gegeben ist, sind die Frameraten meist unspielbar niedrig. Lediglich anspruchslose Titel, die weit über 5 Jahre alt sind, könnten unter Umständen in niedrigsten Einstellungen flüssig dargestellt werden.

Eine integrierte HD Videoengine im GMA 3600 kann Videos in FullHD dekodieren, beispielsweise auf Youtube. Auch die Blu-ray-Wiedergabe soll möglich sein, unterstützt werden unter anderem die Codecs H.264, MPEG2, VC1 und AVC.

Erstmals ist auch eine digitale Bildausgabe per HDMI 1.3 oder DisplayPort möglich, dabei können zwei Displays gleichzeitig angesteuert werden.
