NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600

Die NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 ist die Mittelklasse Grafikkarte der 7000er Serie und eigenet sich für (zum Zeitpunkt des Erscheinen) aktuelle Spiele. Sie bietet ein gutes Leistung/Wärmeentwicklungs Verhältnis. Die Leistung ist sehr ähnlich zur ATI X1600. Im Vergleich zur Desktop 7600 bietet die Go 7600 nur 8 statt 12 Pixelpipelines und ist dadurch deutlich langsamer. Die 7600 wurde durch die Nachfolgekarte GeForce 8600M GT abgelöst, welche deutlich mehr Leistung und DirectX10 Unterstützung bietet.

Die NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 GT wurde unseres Wissens nach nur in einem Sony AR11s Notebook verbaut hatte 12 Pixelpipelines (anstatt 8) und ähnelt dadurch der Desktop 7600. Da das AR11s ein 17" Notebook ist, dürfte die Abwärme auch deutlich höher abfallen als bei der normalen 7600 Grafikkarte.

Dank der verbauten PureVideo Engine, kann der Grafikchip H.264, WMV und MPEG-2 Videos Hardware-beschleunigen (entlastet den Prozessor, falls von der Abspielsoftware unterstützt). Im Vergleich zur 7400 und abwärts beherscht die Go 7600 auch MPEG-2 De-Interlacing in Hardware (Hier finden Sie eine genau Featuretabelle von Nvidia).

Im Acer Aspire 5683WLMi wird eine NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 SE verbaut, welche sich dadurch auszeichnet, dass sie nur mit 350 MHz Kerntakt (350 MHz Speichertakt) getaktet ist. Mehr Informationen hierzu finden sie hier.

Vorsicht: Manche mit 128 MB ausgestatteten Modelle bieten nur ein 64Bit Speicherinterface, was zu einem drastischen Performanceverlust führt. Laut einigen Meldungen soll auch eine 256 MB Version im Samsung R55 nur 3900 Punkte im 3DMark03 bringen. Dies deutet auch auf einen 64 Bit Speicherbus hin.

Spieleleistung

Alle Tests sind ungefähre Benchmarkwerte (je nach eingesetzter CPU können sie stark abweichen) und wurden ohne Antialiasing (AA) und ohne Anisotrope Filter (AF) durchgeführt. Mit AA und AF waren moderne Spiele nicht spielbar (<20 fps).
