NVIDIA GeForce Go 7700

Die NVIDIA GeForce Go 7700 ist der Nachfolger der NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 Grafikkarte für Notebooks und die erste in 80nm gefertigte Grafikkarte für Laptops. Technisch ist der DirectX 9 Chip eher mit der 7600 GT vergleichbar (durch die 12 Pixelshader), jedoch mit geringeren Taktraten.

Leistungsmäßig bleibt die ehemalige Spiztenkarte für 15" Notebooks in etwa auf Niveau einer 8600M GS Grafikkarte, jedoch ohne DirectX 10 Hardwareunterstützung. Vergleichen mit damaligen Grafikkarten reiht sie sich zwischen 7600 und 7600 GT ein.

Dank Nvidia Purevideo Technologie kann der Grafikchip auch beim dekodieren von HD Videomaterial mithelfen um die CPU zu entlasten (H.264, WMV/VC-1, und MPEG-4 Hardwarebeschleunigung). Im Vergleich zu den neueren 8600M GT Chip fehlen jedoch einige Videofunktionen. > Vergleichstabelle bei Nvidia
