ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 Hybrid X2

Mit "Mobility Radeon HD 3470 Hybrid X2" bezeichnet AMD die Kombination einer HD 3200 (RS780M) Chipsatzgrafik (onboard ohne eigenen Speicher) mit der dedizierten Einsteigergrafikkarte Mobility Radeon HD 3470 mit eigenem Speicher für Notebooks. Beide Grafikkarten können im Crossfire Modus parallel betrieben werden, wodurch eine etwas höhere Performance als eine einzelne HD 3470 erreicht, erzielt werden kann (wenn die Anwendung / das Spiel Crossfire unterstützt).

Vorteil ist jedoch vorallem die Abschaltung der HD 3470 um Strom zu sparen.

Die HD 3470 ist die Nachfolgekarte der HD 2400 XT und wird im 55nm Prozess gefertigt. Im Vergleich zur HD 3450 ist sie etwas höher getaktet und bietet die selben Features (DirectX 10.1, Avivo Videofunktionen).

Der Stromverbrauch der Notebook-Grafikkarten-Kombination liegt zwischen 7 und 12 Watt (3400er Serie) plus einige Watt für die Chipsatzgrafik.

Im Vergleich zu Desktop HD 3470 ist die Mobility Variante deutlich niedriger getaktet und im Schnitt von der Performance (bei den meisten Notebooks wird wohl der 400 MHz langsame DDR2 Speicher eingesetzt werden) eher mit der HD 3450 im Desktop vergleichbar.
